English: A line handling crew lands the U.S. Navy blimp L-6 at a Naval Air Station, most probalby NAS Lakehurst, New Jersey (USA). L-6 was the former Goodyear blimp Reliance taken over by the U.S. Navy in 1942. The L-class blimps were mostly only used for training at Lakehurst and Naval Air Station Moffett Field, California (USA). Note: The U.S. National Archives identify this photo as U.S. Navy photo 80-G-K-15436. However, the U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command photo 80-G-K-15436 depicts a Mark XIII torpedo. |
