To study these sinusesPfahler makes six rontgenograms, two postero-anterior, two lateral (stereoscopieally), and twooblique.^ Dental Rontgenography.—There are twomethods of making rontgenograms of the teeth, theintra-oral and the extra-oral method. In the intra-oral method a smaU photographicfilm wrapped in black paper is placed inside the mouth,as nearly as possible against the teeth that are underinvestigation. In the extra-oral method the pictureis taken upon an X-ray plate placed beneath thepatients head (Fig. 22). In both methods the important point is to have thecorrect angle of incidence of the Rontgen rays uponthe film or plate. This is especially true of the intra-oral method. It is readily seen that in rontgenograph-ing the teeth of the upper jaw the film cannot be placedparallel to the teeth. Its position depends upon theslant of the roof of the mouth. If the pic
