Summary edit

Description

Do not enlarge if you are feint hearted! This image shows a white lady doctor with Indian helpers and is hand captioned "Medical Operation". I think it is related to the other image captioned "Canadian Lady Doctor". I wonder also what the medical condition was? Maybe I don't want to know as it really looks quite grotesque.

This is one of a selection of lantern slides dating I estimate to c. 1900. The set appears to be a personal collection, with items connected to Northern Ireland, missionary work, the YMCA, and India
