Description
English: A moss-lined pool in Fiordland beech forest. The surrounding plants (mosses, leafy liverworts, and beech saplings) are reflected in the dark tannin-stained water. For scale, the leaves on the beech saplings are roughly half a centimetre (1/4 in) long. Photo taken beside the Kepler Track in New Zealand's Fiordland National Park.
