English: Type A pillar box in Wallisdown, Poole, Dorset. Due to an industrial dispute, the Royal Mail all but came to a standstill over the first weekend of October 2007. Two 48-hour strikes, one on the Thursday-Saturday and one Monday-Wednesday, meant that the Royal Mail could not guarantee collections from the majority of its postboxes. |
