Description
English: The opening ceremony of the Admiral’s Cup Sailing Regatta 2015 was conducted at the picturesque Ettikulum Bay at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala on 9 December 2015. The event saw the participation of teams from 18 countries from Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Mauritius, Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, UAE, United Kingdom, USA and a team each from Indian Naval Academy and National Defence Academy. The Regatta is being conducted by the INA on behalf of the Indian Naval Sailing Association. Nine races, in Laser (Radial) class sailing boats, were scheduled over three days commencing from 10 Dec 2015. 40 participants including four lady participants fiercely competed for the coveted ‘Admiral’s Cup’.
