Description
English: A schematic presentation on the judgements made in the System of Radiation Protection by ICRP and the associated areas of uncertainty. The risks of non-cancer diseases at low doses are in the focus of the MELODI Strategic Research Agenda, along with the question relating to variation in radiation sensitivity between individuals. Improving the understanding and assessment of the risks of non-cancer effects is particularly important for radiation protection as evidence emerges of risk at or approaching the low dose levels at which radiation protection operates.
