| Description |
English: A stake for the mill workers ferry. A ferry boat was once used to ferry workers from the "far side" to the mill. This iron post was used to attach the rope which the ferryman used to pull the passengers across. I remember the last ferryman; he was called Gerry Maitland and was a WW1 veteran who later became a water bailiff. |
