Description
English: This picture is one of 38 that show homes in Kawama, Kawama is a place in mufulira where the style of housing is mostly traditional or a mixture of traditional hut style design and the rectangular design of modern houses. The houses are mostly made of mud/ clay bricks or mud with sticks for support, the roofs are thatched (made of stacks of straw) and plants may even grow on them, if they are not thatched iron roofing sheets are used instead. More than one house maybe built on the same compound. The roads are mostly paths that don't follow a particular order and are shaped by runoff water. Some of the talked about features can be observed in the picture.
