Description
English: A sugar beet cleaner/loader. This is a cleaner/loader for loading harvested beet onto lorries, usually from the clamp store. The cylinder seen at centre rotates as the sugar beet passes through, knocking the soil off the roots and therefore reducing the dirt for which the farmer is charged a fee at the factory (less dirt, less fee to pay). Many thanks to Michael Trolove for above information. The machine is parked beside the unsurfaced road which links Park Farm > 1303131 with the B1149, further to the north.
