Description
English: A symbolic stone in St Andrew's Old Kirkyard. This old graveyard in West Linton has a fine collection of carved 17th and 18th century memorials. The classic emblems of mortality are displayed on this stone with the winged hourglass representing the passing of time, memento mori (remember you must die) above the skull and crossed bones, with the crossed tools of the sexton below.
