| Description | I decided to cancel the strenuous trek up the hilltop viewpoint in LP on account of the oncoming clouds plus out of sheer exhaustion after doing all that climbing in and out of the Pak Ou Caves. The final stop for the day was to pick up some dinner, as our hotel was in a by lane and there were no restaurants around. Now Laos is a relatively remote location, and I spotted a stray Indian restaurant or two in town. Now although I prefer to eat Laotian food in Laos, curiosity got the better of me, and I asked my guide to take me to an Indian restaurant. While waiting for our takeaway, the heavens opened up, and it started pouring like crazy. Here is a typical Bangkok style tuk tuk parked a little away from the restaurant. This type of tuk tuk is relative rare in LP, and this is a private vehicle. (Luang Prabang, Laos/ Lao PDR, April 2014) |
