| Description |
English: A view from behind the new 1st tee at Galashiels Golf Course The course layout has been rearranged again following the move from 18 to 9 holes on 2/3/08. This new 1st tee, operational since 4/4/09, used to be the old 1st forward tee in the 18 hole layout when golfers would play off in the direction of the camera. Large branches have been pruned from the tall tree on the left to allow play up the new 1st fairway (formerly the 7th fairway and 9th on the original 18 hole course). A new tee has been formed half way up the fairway on the left, providing an alternative hole for the second time around. This was taken during a competition on 25/4/09 with players on the left on the 9th green (formerly the 6th green and 8th on the original 18 hole course) and players to the right on the 3rd green (formerly the 9th green and 18th on the original 18 hole course). |
