Français : 12 - La brouette chinoise cause de l'émeute. Vue d'un pousseur de brouette à Shanghai. Le titre donné par Dumoulin à cette photographie fait référence aux wheelbarrow riots qui ont secoué la ville en avril 1897, auxquelles a assisté Dumoulin. Elles ont été provoquées par la décision du conseil municipal de Shanghai d'augmenter les taxes pesant sur les pousseurs de brouettes (wheelbarrow en anglais), ce qui a provoqué la colère de ce corps de métier.
