Description
English: A wounded Australian soldier, Private (Pte) Terry Johnston of Grovely, Brisbane, Qld, is winched from the ground by a hovering US Huskie helicopter after having been shot in the ankle by a Viet Cong during Operation Silver City in the jungles of War Zone D, South Vietnam. Pte Johnston was carried on a stretcher for seven hours before the helicopter was able to lift him out and fly him to hospital.
