Description

Sénanque Abbey is a beautiful monastery in Provence in existence since 1148. It's isolated location is at the bottom of a steep canyon - the Tour de France actually passed by there earlier this year, and the climb out was apparently one of the more grueling parts of the ride. Monks still live and farm there, and you need to be silent on the grounds - not easy for me! HFF!
