| Description |
English: Abbey River canyon and Blackpool Mill. This is described by Steers as "a good and mature canyon about 64 yards long and 15 yards deep; it is formed along the strike of sandstone beds in an anticline" ("Coastline of England & Wales",1946). It is immediately preceded by a waterfall down the dip of the rocks, rather like Milford Water at Speke's Mill Mouth.
