Hazrat Moulana Wajeeh Uddin Ahmed Khan was born on July 13, 1899 at Rampur. He did his Fazil from Govt. Oriental College, Rampur in 1922 and Fazil-e-Hadees from Darul Uloom Deoband in 1923. He spent about a dozen Madrasas as a Teacher/principal which includes Madrasa Anwar Ul Uloom Rampur (1923), Madrasa Imdadia Moradabad (1923-24), Madrasa Qayyumia, Shahjahnpur (1924), Madrasa Saeedia, Dadon Distt. Aligarh 1924-26 and 1930-33, Madrasa Islahe Qaum Rampur (1926-29), Madrasa Islamia Distt. Gasbari Distt. Sylhat Bangladesh (1929), Madrasa Noorania Delhi (1933-34), Madrasa Jamia-Tul-Maarif Rampur (1934-36), Madrasa Aalia (Govt. Oriental College) Rampur (1936- 1957) He was formed eight books under his authorship besides about thirty important literary and scholarly essays contributed to the famous periodicals of the subcontinent: Kalam-e- Arabic(1917), Tarjuma Bhukhari (1923), Haqiqat-Ul- Mantiq (1945), Hadeesi Usool (1956), Tafsiri Usool (1976), Fuyuzat-e-Wazieria(1982), Maslake-Arbabe-Haq (1983), Jazbat-e-Wajih(1985). His views and thinkings in Muslim theology is quite balanced ones. He has his own views as regards the different schools of Muslim theology which he has elaborately analysed and presented in a book “Maslak-E-Arbab-E-Haq” over and above his scholarly pursuits he always remained busy with establishing madrasa at different places for the propagation of Islamic education. The list of such madrasas is a long one and includes places like Rampur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Delhi, Mumbai and Assam, Sylhat (Bangladesh). He spent his whole life after finishing his education 1922, making consisted efforts for the propagation of Islamic education in the progeny and remained plunged in his pursuits all along. Dragging the present as well as the coming generation out from the state of darkness and passiveness was the sole motto of his life. He therefore took effective steps and measures through lectures and speeches to induce the generations to go all out for education. He reckoned as one of the pioneers and renewed scholars in the field of education to general and Arabic education in particular. It has taken about 70 years of his life to get a portion of his lifelong yearnings in this field of being put into effect. Having students and disciples in thousands throughout the subcontinent he is acknowledge in the field as an authority and is well known in the Islamic world. He travelled widely throughout the subcontinents and visited Saudi Arabia as well. Leaving a legacy of literary and educational system behind him he breathed his last on 25-06-1987 and buried in the Khanqah-e- Ahmadiah (Madrasa Furqania) Rampur (U.P.) INDIA.
NTRODUCTION: India got freedom in 1947. After that all the small states had been merged in to Union Government of India. The result of this merging brought a set back to the Islamic Education. The Islamic Centers or Madrasa have lost their patterns and they didn't get any support from the Muslim rulers, Nawabs etc. RAMPUR was also a Muslim state ruled by a Muslim Nawab. But after 1947 there was no authentic Madrasa in this Muslim populated city Rampur. Thus Maulana Wajeeh-Uddin Ahmad Khan Sahib founded Madrasa Jame Ul-Uloom Furqania in 1950. This Institute produced a large number of Muslim scholars Hafiz-ul-Quran. Some famous scholars are Maulana Farooq Ahmad (Imam Jama Masjid Silchar (Assam), Maulana Mohiuddin (Shaikh-ul Hadith Madrasa Alia Silchar), Maulana Jalaluddin (Assam), Maulvi Abdul Qadir and Maulvi Mohammad Ishaq both are from Bangladesh. Maulana Mohammad Rashid Ali Khan and Qari Abdul Sattar Khan Wajeehi are from Pakistan.

Other prominent scholars are Maulana Mufti Mehboob Ali (sheikh-ul-Hadith of Madrasa Jame ul uloom Furqania & Imam Jama Masjid District Rampur), Maulana Syed Ahmad Ali alias Syed Khushnood Mian (Qazi of Distt. Rampur & Khateeb Jama Masjid distt. Rampur, Maulana Iqbal sahib Qadri (Ex-Imam Jama Masjid Distt. Badaun), Dr. Shaair ullah Khan Wajeehi (Editor: monthly Zia-E- Wajeeh), Dr. Zafar Ali Anjum (Director of Islamic Centre Texas U.S.A.)
