Abu Rudeis oil Town
Description
English: Abu Rudeis oil Town.
Half way between the southern end of the Suez Canal, and Sharm E-Sheik, lies the town of Abu Rodeis. Here before the Six Day War, was established an Egyptian-Italian oil complex, and since June 1967, work has been taken over by an Israeli company Netivei Neft. Here on the edge of the vast Sinai desert, six million tons of black gold are annually take out of the ground. The raw petroleum is stored in hughe tanks, then shipped to Eilat by tanker. From there it goes through the Eilat-Ashkelon pipeline and ends up in homes and cars of Europe's millions.. Photo shows: Opening the hudge valves makes the black fluid go to Israel.
