Summary edit

Description
English: Is evoked a complete covering of an Euclidean plane with an infinity of squares of two kinds. Their sizes are the leg lengths of a given right triangle:  a  and  b.  Five pieces of a jigsaw puzzle are assembled on the tiling, forming together a square pattern in dashed red, indefinitely repeated horizontally and vertically. Another assemblage of the five pieces form two square elements of the tiling. Therefore their total area equals the area of the square in dashed red:  a 2 + b 2 = c 2.
