Accession: 45-122-A Plaque, Builder's, USS Dewey DD-349 7 10/16 H X 11" W. USS Dewey was launched on the 28th July 1934 by Bath Iron Works Maine. The Dewey was commissioned on 4th October 1934, and decommissioned on the 19th October 1945. The Dewey partcipated in The Battle of the Coral Sea rescuing survivors from the Lexington and the Battle of Midway. Collection of Curator Branch Naval Histroy and Heritage Command. |
