Andar por calçadas regulares, bem cuidadas e seguras é desejo de todo mundo e uma prova de respeito ao próximo. Muitos acidentes com idosos, gestantes e crianças poderiam ser evitados se as calçadas estivessem em perfeito estado de conservação. Além disso, calçadas bem arrumadas facilitam o trânsito de pessoas portadoras de deficiência ou com mobilidade reduzida. Pela legislação atual o proprietário imóvel ou terreno é responsável pela construção e manutenção da sua respectiva calçada.

R.: O proprietário do imóvel, seja comercial ou residencial, é responsável pela conservação, manutenção e reforma da calçada em frente ao seu imóvel. Calçadas em situação irregular ou precária são passíveis de multa.
