The planes take off from the Toul air base. Eddie Rickenbacker climbs into a Spad, flies DH-4's and Nieuports, and battles a German plane. Shows officers of the squadron, aerial views of the battlefield near Verdun, and planes stunting. Reel 2, Gens. Mitchell and Patrick decorate Rickenbacker and other squadron members with the D.S.C. The 101st Inf. passes in review at Rembercourt as Gens. Edwards and Liggett decorate flyers. Also shows Prof. Canby of Yale University and French officers.
