English: This photograph was taken by Ida M. Everett (b. ca.1873, d.Sept. 3 1930). Everett was a friend of Ada Wolfe's family, who, with her daughter, Wanda, attended the 1928 wedding of Ada Wolfe's niece, Leah. According to census records of Jan. 5 1920, Everett was a receptionist for a photo studio. This photo is credited to Ida Everett in the newspaper article on Ada Wolfe published in the Minneapolis Star Tribune on April 2, 1916. The publication date of the newspaper article places this photograph's date to pre-April 2, 1916. This means that Ada must be 38 years old or younger in the photo. As of Jan 16, 2021, this is the only known photograph of Ada Augusta Wolfe. Ada Wolfe (1887-1945) was an impressionist artist who is known primarily for oil paintings of Minnesotan landscapes, but also produced cityscapes, maritime scenes of rivers and lakes, portraits, domestic scenes, room studies, and other subjects. She sometimes worked as an illustrator, creating pen and ink illustrations for local books and magazines. Wolfe was a classmate and colleague of many Minnesota artists from the first half of the 20th century, including Wanda Gág, Adolf Dehn, and Frances Cranmer Greenman. She was a student of Gustav von Schlegel, William Merritt Chase, and Robert Koehler.
