Summary

edit
Description
English: Adecon Darrieus wind turbines instealled near Pincher Creek, Alberta in the mid 1990s. The Adecon design was unusual in using a space frame rather than guy cables to hold the Darrieus rotor upright. The turbines were installed near Pincher Creek, Alberta an early hot bed of wind turbine development in Canada. Two Adecon units had failed by the time my photos were taken in the mid 1990s. 1.5 MW in total part of Southwest Alberta Renewable Energy Initiative.
