Français : Une jeune personne hésitant à toucher du piano devant sa famille, dit aussi Portrait de la famille de l'artiste posant devant le château de Juilly. Ce portrait de famille représente plusieurs membres de la famille éloignée de l'artiste : au piano, Charles-Edouard Pontois, avec sa soeur Amélie-Justine Pontois à ses côtés. A droite de la composition figurent les parents des deux enfants, Charlotte-Marie Mercier, assise au premier plan, et Jean-Pascal Pontois, tenant à la main une estampe. Au centre est représentée la grand-mère des deux enfants, Justine-Louise Mercier, née Rossignol du Ceintaure, qui était la mère de Charlotte-Marie Mercier et la tante de l'artiste (son mari était le frère de la mère d'Adèle Romany).
