Description
日本語: 空中より見たる臺南市。臺南は附近の安平（あんぴん）と共に臺灣最古の都會であり和蘭時代、鄭氏時代、清朝時代を通じでの舊都として古い歷史を有つてゐる。今尚平安からの運河によつて小舟を通じ得るけれご海港としての臺南は今や昔噺となつてしまつたこ。今日の臺南市は附近平野の中心市場であり，また縱貫鐵道の大驛として人口九万二千臺灣第二の都會である。寫真中數條の大街が交叉する所は州廳前の廣場大正公園であり，附近は臺南市の政治區で州廳舍が白く大きく見られる。市中では內臺人軒を交へて雜居し，街路は一設に直角に交又してゐるが州廳附近は一部放射狀に配列せられてゐる。寫真は此放射狀市街の部分を寫したものである。（三尾良次郎，臺北高等學校教諭兼教授）
