English: Aerial view of Southend seafront: west from the pier Peter Pan's Playground, at the base of the pier lies at the bottom right of the photo. Just behind the beach, the road is The Western Esplanade. The pale-brick building with the pale grey roof, to the right of centre is the Royals shopping centre. High Street, the main shopping street, runs from there towards the upper left.
