Description

Marines with Alpha Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, stage their gear as they prepare to set up tents for the night in Morocco as part of African Lion April 14, 2012. African Lion is a bilateral training exercise in Morocco in which the 24th MEU will partner with the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces to conduct a variety of training events to learn from each other and build partnerships between each nation's militaries. The 24th MEU is currently deployed as a theater reserve and crisis response force capable of a variety of missions from full-scale combat to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
