English: Afternoon winter light, Cwm Rhwyddfor. The reddened light of a low winter sun accentuates the rust of the bracken and darkens the blue of the tarmac road. The view is across a geological fault line that was exploited by a glacier during the last ice age; hanging valleys (such as Cwm Cau and Cwm Amarch) enter this valley along its sides. |
