Description
English: Aghadoe, Killarney, Co. Kerry Aghadoe takes its name from Acha Da Eo, which is Irish for "The place of the two yew trees". (It was traditional for church yards to have only one yew tree). The ruined church was founded by the native saint, Finan Cam (St Finan the Leper), was the first to build a church at Aghadoe, which later became the see of a bishop. The church has an ogham stone built into its south wall and a fine romanesque door on itswest side, depicted here.
