Deutsch: Kokermühle „Agnes" Wiegboldsburer Riede
Der Erdholländer mit Steert diente zuerst als Wasserschöpfmühle am Großen Meer zur Entwässerung der Bargsteder Meeden. Nicht mehr erforderlich, wurde sie abgebrochen und woanders genutzt. Als Reithdachdeckermeister Behrend Meyer ein etwa 2 ha großes Gelände an der Wiegboldsburer Riede für ein Feuchtgebiet zur Verfügung stellte, konnten die Überreste der Mühle 1986 in die Nähe ihres ursprünglichen Standortes zurückkehren, wo sie bei dem 1988 wieder aufgebauten Erdholländer Verwendung fanden. Erdholländer sind im Gegensatz zu den Galerie-Holländern wesentlich kleiner, die Flügel reichen bis fast auf den Boden. Die Flügel der „Mühle Agnes“, eine Kokermühle, haben eine Segelbespannung. Der Flügeldurchmesser, auch Flucht genannt, beträgt 10,60 m. Bei einer Kokermühle ist das obere Mühlengehäuse drehbar auf einem feststehenden Unterbau, der die eigentliche Arbeitseinrichtung beinhaltet, angeordnet. Die senkrechte Welle führt durch einen Köcher (Koker) in den Unterbau und treibt dort ein Wasserschöpfrad, oder wie bei dieser Mühle, eine archimedische Schraube an, eine selbstgebaute hölzerne Schnecke. Die Förderhöhe beträgt 0,84 m. Entsprechend einem alten holländischen Brauch wurde die Mühle bei ihrer Einweihung am 10. Oktober 1988 spontan auf den Namen der anwesenden, damals vierzehnjährigen Tochter von Behrend Meyer getauft. Früher zur Entwässerung eingesetzt, dient die Mühle heute zur Bewässerung des umliegenden Feuchtbiotops. Text: Aus Niedersächsische Mühlenstraße – 36. Kokermühle Agnes |
