Summary edit

Description
English: Water channels. Itmad-ud-daulah Tomb

Agra, Uttar Pradesh

As with all Mughal monuments, the distribution of flowing water throughout the complex was a carefully-considered architectural element. Here, water ripples down an inclined ramp (the "waterfall" between the steps) to run through channels cut in the pavement.
