Description
Deutsch: Den Namen Gretenkort gibt es in der Ahlener Gastronomie seit dem 19.Jahrhundert - Johann Otto Gretenkort hatte seit 1855 eine Konzession für Gastwirtschaft mit Hotelbetrieb inne. In dieser Zeit wurde ein relativ kleines und einfaches Haus errichtet, welches 1912 abgerissen und durch einen Neubau ersetzt wurde - 1918 wurde das Gebäude aufgestockt und erweitert. Nach einem Bomben-Volltreffer im Krieg wurde das Haus zuerst notdürftig wieder hergerichtet - in den 50ern erfolgte ein Neubau in der Form wie wir es heute kennen.
