Description
Deutsch: Mitten in dem barrock angelegten Rosentalpark, nordwestlich vom Zentrum der Stadt Leipzig gelegen, thront dieser mächtige Ahorn. Er nimmt den Park förmlich ein mit seinen gut 20-30m Höhe und der ausladenden Krone. Anstelle des Ahorns hätte im 17. Jahrhundert ein Lustschloss durch August den Starken errichtet werden sollen, was von den Stadtvätern allerdings verhindert werden konnte. Ein wunderschönes Beispiel für die Vollkommenheit der Natur.

Neben dem Ahorn ist das berühmte Zoofenster zu finden. Von dort aus ist ein kleiner Blick in den in ganz Deutschand bekannten Tierpark zu erhaschen. Manchmal trifft man eine Giraffe oder einen Strauß.
