| Description |
This Airbus A330-202 first flew on January 20, 1998. It is the third A330-200 built. By the time of upload it has served three carriers that went under while operating this twin-engined beauty...From May 1998 until its demise the Airbus flew for Canada 3000 as C-GGWA. From 2002 until 2004 it served Volare Airlines of Italy as I-VLEC. After that the A330 flew for the infamous Air Madrid. After Air Madrid shut down in December 2006 the aircraft was temprarily stored in Düsseldorf. In July 2007 the Airbus was taken up but yet another ill-fated Spanish airline, Air Comet. This company flew the Airbus until they also had to cease operations in 2009, as EC-KIL. The latest operator has been Batavia Air of Indonesia, flying the A330 as PK-YVJ. www.flickr.com/photos/46423105@N03/4273435801/ |
