| Description |
English: Aircraft Wreckage near Mirk Slack Possibly all that remains of a Halifax which crashed in 1943. A Mosquito and a Flying Fortress also crashed in the vicinity. Remember this is a war grave and treat it with the same respect as any other grave. The number of planes crashing in low cloud during the war was frightening. Most of the time they had no idea where they were, with nothing to help them in low visibility. |
