Description
English: The superposition of the diffraction-limited electric fields from two spots separated by 1.2*wavelength/NA indicates that they are just barely resolvable, where the illumination has coherence. The FWHM (full-width at half-maximum) width of the s}pots is in the range of 0.6-0.7 wavelength/NA. Ref.: B. E. A. Saleh and M. C. Overlapped Airy peaks. When the peaks are as close as ~ 1 wavelength/NA, they are effectively merged. The FWHM is ~0.6 wavelength/NA at this point.
