Description
English: As seen at Akron Falls Park in Akron, New York on an October 2021 afternoon: a plaque on a disused water fountain identifies a grotto garden seen here as the Franklin J. Nice Memorial. Though a proposal to rename the entire park after him was rejected, the longtime former Akron Falls Park superintendent and Town of Newstead Republican Party chairman (1916-1962) was indeed honored with the dedication of this memorial in his honor shortly after his death.
