Description
Español: Escudo del conjunto que forma la fuente de la puerta de la Alcazaba, Málaga, España. El conjunto, formado por una fuente y dos escudos de procedencias distintas, fue instalado en el acceso a la Alcazada durante la fase de rehabilitación de esta parte de la ciudadela iniciadas en 1937. La fuente se encuentra adosada a la pared y consta de un pilón trilobulado, tallado en un sola pieza de mármol blanco, con un paño frontal de remate curvo en mármol rosa, decorado con una cruz y un disco en su centro donde se sitúa el surtidor. Bajo la cruz se lee la inscripción «DLVS S.TIAGO AÑO 1727». Según esta inscripción, es posiblemente que estuviese ubicada originalmente cerca de la iglesia de Santiago o en la casa de algún caballero llamado don Luis Santiago, que la encargó en 1727.
