Español: Retrato del político español Alejandro Pidal y Mon (1846-1913), que llegó a ser ministro de Fomento en 1884, durante uno de los mandatos de Antonio Cánovas del Castillo, miembro y director de la Real Academia Española, numerario de la Real Academia de la Historia, presidente del Congreso de los Diputados y embajador de España ante la Santa Sede. También fue caballero de la Orden del Toisón de Oro y caballero gran cruz de la Orden de San Gregorio Magno.
