La Lecchini Giovannoni nella monografia su Alessandro Allori, ritiene che il raffinato ritratto femminile, delicatissimo soprattutto dal punto di vista cromatico, possa essere associato al nome di Alessandro Allori, per le strette analogie con ritratti databili ai primi anni Settanta, caratterizzati da una limpida attenzione alla rappresentazione naturalistica"
