Поступил в 1946 году из частного собрания

До 1723 года предположительно находился в соборе Рождественского монастыря во Владимире. В 1913 году числился в коллекции Сапожниковых и был похищен с выставки древнерусского искусства, посвященной 300-летию дома Романовых

Реставрирован в 1957 году в ГЦХРМ М.П. Рябовой, в 2002 и 2009 годах в СПМЗ Н.Н. Шелонниковой
