Description
English: Alireza Arafi (born 1959, Meybod) Iranian Shia cleric, Chairman of Al-Mustafa International University, Qom Friday prayer leader and head of Iran's Seminary.
فارسی: علیرضا اعرافی (زادهٔ ۱۳۳۸ ـ میبد) روحانی شیعه ایرانی، رئیس جامعه المصطفی العالمیه، امام جمعه قم و رئیس حوزه علمیه سراسر کشور است. اعرافی بدون شرکت در آزمون علمی خبرگان، از سوی شورای نگهبان برای شرکت در انتخابات مجلس خبرگان رهبری سال ۱۳۹۴ تأیید شد. اما با کسب 925,727 رأی، رأی کافی برای ورود به مجلس خبرگان از حوزه انتخابیه تهران را به دست نیاورد. شورای عالی حوزه علمیه قم در تیر 1395، اعرافی را با حفظ سمت ریاست جامعة‌ المصطفی ‌به‌عنوان مدیر حوزه‌های علمیه سراسر کشور انتخاب کرد.
