DescriptionAll Saints, Darsham- memorial (7) - geograph.org.uk - 2011582.jpg | Monument to Sir Thomas Bedingfield (d.1660), Attorney General of the Duchy of Lancaster and a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas, who married Elizabeth Hoskins, a daughter of Charles Hoskins of Surrey and a Citizen of the City of London. His only son Thomas Bedingfield married Hannah Bacon, daughter and heiress of Philip Bacon of Wolverston (now Woolverstone) in Suffolk. Arms at top: Bedingfield (Ermine, an eagle displayed gules beaked and legged or) impaling Hoskins (Per pale gules and azure, a chevron engrailed or between three lions rampant argent) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.509 "Hoskins of Higham, County Cumberland"); at bottom Bedingfield impaling Bacon (Gules, on a chief argent two mullets pierced sable). |
