Aircrew qualification badges

All aircrew members needed months of individual instruction at Army schools before receiving qualification badges. Officers trained as bombardier wore the same wings introduces for enlisted bombardiers in WWI. In early 1942, the Army introduced new wings for navigators (also officers), enlisted gunners, and all other aircrew.
