English: Allt Socrach The walk from Sgurr na Lapaich to Creagan Toll an Lochain crosses a col where a distinct spring line feeds many trickles into the boggy ground at the head of the Allt Socrach. There is one small patch of bog which is unavoidable even for the walker sticking as closely as possible to the watershed, and this photo was taken just before stepping across it. The burn falls more steeply in its lower reaches, so Loch Mullardoch is hidden in this view, but beyond are Carn Eige, Beinn Fhionnlaidh and Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan - peaks which will be on the second day of this three walk of the Loch Mullardoch round. |
