Alois Kowald - akademiescher Maler Geboren am 4. April 1930 in Rittschein bei Fürstenfeld in der Steiermark. Von 1935 bis 1943 Besuch der Volksschule in Übersbach. Nach dem 2. Weltkrieg 6 Jahre Studium an der Kunstgewerbeschule in Graz bei Professor Szyskowitz und von 1952 bis 1954 an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Wien bei den bekannten Professoren Albert Paris Gütersloh und Herbert Böckl mit Diplomabschluss im Jahre 1954. Gestorben 2012. Wohnte in Übersbach, Bezirk Fürstenfeld.
