I took this picture June 2006. Wallpaining in the interior of the ayuntamiento of San Cristobal de La Laguna, Tenerife, to which I was allowed access.
The caption read:
El año 1496 y día de la fiesta del glorioso Apóstol Santiago baxaron a donde estaba el Real de España, en lo alto de Taoro, el mencey Bencomo con los de Tacoronte, Anaga y Tegueste, acercándose con leñas de rendición y de paz.
