Alonzo Low (1845-Apr. 7, 1921) was born in McLean County, Illinois, the son of John N. Low and Lydia Colburn Low. His family were in the first party of Seattle pioneers, landing on the point which John Low later named Alki. Low opened a trading post at Swinomish (now La Conner) in 1867, became a mining prospector, and later settled in Snohomish.
